From 0 to 115,000 followers in less than a year: how Ciara Anne made money content click
Finfluencer Awards Rising Star Ciara Anne talks about growing to 115K followers, getting over the cringe of posting and making investing feel more accessible for women.

In a space that often moves at the speed of the latest trend, Ciara (@ciara___anne) is doing something a bit different. She pairs approachable, no nonsense money management with the lifestyle, skincare and fashion content she loves, and in doing so she’s making wealth building feel far less intimidating.
Ciara was recently named Rising Star Female at the Finfluencer Awards, and she’s grown her community from 0 to more than 115,000 followers in 2026. We caught up with her to talk about pushing past creative nerves, normalising conversations about money and building a creator career that lasts.
Every creator needs a bit of resilience, but for Ciara the early hurdle was confidence.
“It’s all a work in progress but I would say I am happier to try out loud and in public to do something. I was quite scared before of doing something wrong or making a bad piece of content whereas I think that if you just persist and get over the kind of cringe of it, once you find your flow and what your audience wants from you, that helps shape you as a creator.”
Her growth has been fast, but she’s determined to stay grounded.
“What I also think is important, though, is that I actually haven’t changed that much as a person since becoming a creator. I want to keep my feet firmly on the ground and be my normal self. I hear sometimes people talk about influencers kind of losing touch with reality and that’s something I really don’t want to do!”
Money content has a reputation for dense jargon and a heavy male bias. Ciara does it differently. She talks about investing and intentional spending in the same breath as her skincare routine and everyday habits, so money becomes part of the conversation rather than a lecture.
“My content pillars are investing, personal finance, and intentional spending but it’s also peppered with my own interests. It’s got a little bit of skincare in there, makeup, general lifestyle, and fashion.
Ultimately I’m wanting to make what was seen as quite masculine things (i.e., investing) more accessible to women as well. I think that those types of people (i.e., me) like to be engaged with in a different way than perhaps the way that traditional investing information has been presented. So that’s my aim!”
Her mission comes from personal experience:
“I’ve seen firsthand the impact that not having your own financial agency can have on someone’s life. If I can be part of not letting other people fall into those tough situations, then I would like to do that. I also feel like I’m in a unique position from being someone who was not very financially literate about five years ago and going on this massive learning curve. I can see it from both sides and I can understand why people don’t get the things that other people talk about so I can hopefully explain them in a more accessible way!”
That relatable approach has caught the attention of brands. Over the past year Ciara has partnered with Monzo, Apple and Compare the Market. Compare the Market was an easy fit, because it’s already part of her everyday routine.
“A campaign that I loved working on was Compare the Market. I use them in my day-to-day life anyway so it was really simple to come up with a brand concept and a campaign. I think they have a great useful product that can help people’s finances instantly. The team is also just an absolute delight to work for!!”
So what’s next? Ciara wants to get even closer to her community with some new formats:
“I really love doing podcasts and talking to others so I’d really like to do more of that in my content. I also want to start a kind of ‘advice’ column/series.
I get a lot of people messaging me directly and asking me specific questions. Obviously I can’t give them financial advice because I’m not a financial advisor but often the questions are to do with relationships and money. I find that fascinating. It’s also a very soft, sensitive subject for people because money is quite taboo and money and relationships are quite taboo. I would love to do more advice-type content. Keeping everyone anonymous though of course.”
She’s also got big plans for the year ahead, including a wish list of brands she already uses every day:
“In terms of goals I would love to reach 150,000 followers across platforms by the end of the year. I would love to work with some brands that I really use every day:
- Tide
- Revolut
- American Express
- Charlotte Tilbury
- Medik8
- Beauty Pie
My content is personal finance, investing, and intentional spending content but it’s also slightly lifestyle, skincare, and things I’m interested in. I quite like that I have those different pillars”
Looking back, Ciara puts much of her journey down to having the right people in her corner.
“I’d say the biggest thing is having a team behind you who believe in you and support you. Sometimes doing content creation is a bit of a lonely journey and also you have a lot of self-doubt and questioning how you’re doing and why you’re doing it.
I’ve always felt that Chloe has really believed in me. She scouted me for Ours Agency when I had genuinely 2,000 followers on TikTok and I hadn’t even started an Instagram account. Now I have over 115,000 followers across both platforms. Having someone with industry knowledge and experience really believe in you when you’re just starting gave me the confidence and belief that this was something I could do seriously!!”
